Kangaroos are only found in Australia.  They are the largest marsupial in the world!  Females have an external pouch where young live for first 5 months.  The kangaroo’s tail is muscular & used for balance.  If danger is sensed they beat their tails on the ground.  They are the only animals to use hopping as locomotion.  They have short front legs but long, strong back legs.  They can jump as high as 3m.  A group of roos is called a mob.
